“Volunteers aren’t paid, not because they are worthless,
but because they are priceless.”
–Sherry Anderson
Forster Woods Adult Day Center has truly been fortunate to benefit from the time, talent, gifts, smiles and encouraging words from many dedicated volunteers. The individual interactions our volunteers have with our clients make Forster Woods unique. Our volunteers are at the core of our vital ministry and they give freely of their time in a variety of ways.
Regardless of whether serving as a Board member, a kitchen helper, program assistant, providing transportation, leading an activity, providing individual attention to a client, running errands, assisting with fund raising, donating goods or doing office work, our volunteers are cherished for the dedication and good works they provide. In addition, various community members and school-aged children come to visit and provide participants with intergenerational interaction.
Everyone is welcome to offer their time and love: whether you can volunteer for one hour or 20 hours, we welcome you. Each volunteer is personally interviewed and screened and is provided opportunities based on their interests and skills to ensure the volunteer experience is a positive one. If you are interested in volunteering at Forster Woods, please contact our Executive Director, Jennifer Putmon at (517)349-3101.
